You’ll prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling any holes or imperfections. Helpers apply paint, varnish, and other coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. You will also restore and maintain a variety of surfaces like drywall, plaster, stucco, and more. Our helpers work closely with team members to complete each project as efficiently as possible. All employees must ensure that safety protocols are met and followed while on-site.

The lead painters with Proper Painting must lead, mentor, and supervise a crew of painters while always ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality for all tasks. You’ll assign various tasks and manage daily workloads to ensure each project is completed on time and within budget. Lead painters train and coach team members on painting techniques, equipment usage, and surface preparation. 

You will also plan, coordinate, and execute painting projects while ensuring they adhere to specific project needs and timelines. Leads apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes to different surfaces. They also prepare surfaces by sanding, scraping, caulking, and filling holes or cracks while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. This includes the proper care and storage of all materials and tools.

Our Painter Job Requirements

  • Painter’s helpers should have a background in both commercial and residential painting.
  • You should be able to work on various projects requiring attention to detail and be familiar with color theory and its application through multiple projects.
